Nationalities Merging Into One?

This is not a racist post, so please do not take it as such. Will the races or nationalities eventually mix to create just one “world” race? I always found it enjoyable to see different types of nationalities. It was interesting growing up in a town where Italians looked like Italians; Germans looked like Germans; Croatians looked like Croatians; Hispanics looked Hispanic, and they all had their unique styles and culture.

Lately I have noticed that there are an increasing number of people, especially children that I cannot tell what nationality they descend from. They look like a mixture of 3-5 types. Will all people one hundred years from now look like this mixed breed? As the world progresses into a global economy will the nationalities progress into a world nationality? I don’t disagree, in a racist way, with any of this, as I try to look at all people as equals, and therefore equally capable of marrying each other. I only feel some despair that ethnic diversity will be lost, and too many people will be similar in looks and traditions (if there are ANY left).

We have an ever increasing number of Hispanics mixing with Germans, or Irish mixing with Africans, or Africans mixing with Hispanics, or Indians mixing with Germans, or Italians mixing with Chinese, etc. This is happening at a rapid rate in America and Europe. Increasingly I look at some kids and cannot determine their ancestry. Of course this is not important in the scheme of things, and is merely an observation. It may even be a good thing, as eventually there will be little ethnic diversity, and perhaps people will equalize in their behavior and thoughts. But, it is something to contemplate as we progress farther into this land of confusion.
